Cyclone Fengal: The deep depression over the southwest Bay of Bengal has intensified into a cyclonic storm on Friday afternoon. The India Meteorological Department gave this information on Friday. The cyclonic storm named 'Fengal' is likely to reach Puducherry on the afternoon of November 30. During this period, the wind speed can reach 90 km per hour.
Will hit on Saturday afternoon
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) said that the deep depression formed in the southwest Bay of Bengal is likely to intensify into a cyclone. Currently, the system is centered 380 km southeast of Chennai. Once it transforms into a storm, it is likely to move northwestwards and make landfall between Karaikal and Mahabalipuram by Saturday afternoon.

Heavy rains will occur in this place
The Meteorological Department said that the cyclone has been officially named Fengal. Heavy rains are expected in some areas of south coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema on Friday and Saturday. Fishermen advised to stay away from the sea

Due to Cyclone Fengal, a Phase 3 alert has been issued at Krishnapatnam and Nizampatnam ports in Andhra Pradesh. A Phase-1 alert has been issued at other ports in Andhra Pradesh.
